I was born in 1958 in Düsseldorf, Germany. For the past several decades I have been living in Bonn, the former capital city of Germany. I have dedicated my life to writing for the past 20 years while raising my daughter and working. To fullfill my desire to write I spent several years in the United States and in Canada to work on a biography of the legendary Native chief Crazy Horse. I conducted intensive research from military documents as well as by living among the Aboriginal people of the Lakota and Ojibway tribes. I became part of their society. Crazy Horse therefore was written from both the military and the Aboriginal perspective.
Back in Germany I continued to write and started doing research on European history. To better understand the chosen subjects I visit the historical sites. By visiting these sites I gain a better understanding of the issues involved for my research on the battle of Waterloo and the German resistance during World War II, espescially the attempt of Count Stauffenberg on July 20. 1944. This particular subject even took me back to the United States. I visited Fort Robinson in Nebraska, a German prisoners-of-war camp during WW II. The very same fort is the place where Crazy Horse was killed seventy years ago.
My other favorite wirting topics are the old philosophers namly Plato, Origines, Augustinus or Peter Abelard as well as Christian mysticism and famous historical people like Joan of Arc, Cathrine of Siena, Teresa of Avila or John of the Cross to name but a few.
I like to work on biographies of people who were quite uncomfortable in their environment but left their impressive footprints behind up to our modern days.
Usually my studies are done through primary resources. I like to capture as much the personalitay of my subjects as possible. It is my desire to entertain the reader as well as give him/her a thorough account of the events involved. Most of my books are devided into two parts, a novelle and a historical biography.
Please come and visit my readings, which are always staged as an exciting historical event with myself wearing period costumes while presenting a documentation of historical music, dance and sites. Well, just drop in and be surprised.
